About This Database

NFL Records holds every player selected in the NFL Draft from 1967 through 2026 — 15,881 players across 60 drafts. Each one has a page: where he went, which round, which team, which college, and what he did in the league afterward.

The database starts at 1967 because that is the first common draft. Before the merger, the NFL and AFL drafted separately and competed for the same players, so the pick numbers from those years do not describe one draft board. Starting at the common draft keeps every pick number in this database comparable to every other.

What you can do here

Where the data comes from

Draft results are compiled and cross-checked against Pro Football Reference, NFL.com, and contemporaneous public records. Career statistics come from public NFL statistics databases. Coverage is deepest for the modern era; some players from the 1960s and 1970s have a complete draft record but a partial or missing stat line, and pages say so rather than implying a player never took a snap.

Corrections get fixed. If a page has something wrong, send it over with the player name and the URL — it gets verified against the record and corrected. More on sources and known limitations is on the methodology page.

What this is not

NFL Records is an independent, fan-built reference. It is not affiliated with the NFL, any club, or any college program, and it does not sell data or run a paywall.
